Make music in your browser

Play a synth, remix my songs, or take free loops into your own tracks. Three tools I built from scratch. Free, no account needed, nothing to install.

Analog & FM Synth

The Jonny Larsson Synth: a synthesizer and groove box you play right on the page.

  • Warm analog and bright 80s-style FM sounds, with vintage presets.
  • Drum kits, a step sequencer and a loop recorder to build a beat in layers.
  • Chord pads, an arpeggiator and chord lessons that fall onto the keys.
  • Play from your computer keyboard, the screen or a MIDI keyboard.
  • Import a MIDI file, or record your playing as a video on a computer.

DJ Deck

Blend two of my songs and make your own mix. The beats stay locked for you.

  • Two decks and a crossfader, tempo-matched automatically.
  • Stems: mute the drums, bass or vocal on either deck, or keep just one.
  • Scrolling waveforms and a Surprise mashup button.
  • A link that saves your blend, so anyone can open it as you left it.

Jam Loops

Jonny Larsson Loops: pick a loop, press Synth, and play over it.

  • Free bass and drum loops made on my synth, in packs by style.
  • 24-bit WAV and MIDI, on the grid, ready for your own tracks.
  • Royalty-free, commercial releases too, no credit needed.
  • Hear each loop over a beat before you download it.

Questions

Are the tools free?

Yes. The synth, the DJ deck and the loops are free to use, with no account, no signup and nothing to install.

Can I use the loops in my own music?

Yes, in your own tracks, commercial releases too, royalty-free and with no credit needed. Don't re-share the loops as loops, register them with Content ID or use them to train AI. The full license is on the loops page and in every pack.

Do I need a MIDI keyboard?

No. The synth plays from your computer keyboard, the on-screen keys or the chord pads. A MIDI keyboard works too, in Chrome and Edge on a computer or Android. The synth's guide has the details.

Does it work on a phone?

The synth and the loops work on phones and tablets, including iPhone and iPad with iOS 14.1 or newer. The DJ deck is made for a computer screen.

Who made the tools?

I did, Jonny Larsson, a Swedish artist and producer. I built them from scratch: plain JavaScript and the Web Audio API, no frameworks and no audio libraries. More about me.
